ABOUT BOTANICAL BOUQUETS

MEET THE FOUNDER & OWNER OF BOTANICAL BOUQUETS, DAPHNEY LANDRY

After spending ten years in education and gaining deep expertise in the field, it was after my mother, Deborah, transitioned that botanical bouquets came into my life. My mother had a profound influence on everything I did, including the manifestation of all my gifts. From singing to setting a table for holiday dinners in our rarely used dining room, decorating, event coordinating, or preparing for a potluck for the officer’s spouses club—everything she did was infused with intention, love, and a desire to impact others in the most positive and warm way possible. She was truly a visionary, and one of the most unique talents she possessed was her green thumb.

Wherever we lived, my mom would take me to the nursery at Home Depot or Lowe’s, and we could easily spend hours there. I remember feeling impatient as a child, ready to leave after about thirty minutes, but as I grew older, I began to truly appreciate those moments. And don’t even get me started on the countless trips to TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, and Ross! I swear, I felt like I was held hostage in those stores. But those trips were always so much more than shopping—she would pick up faux florals and ornate vases left and right, and we would bring them home and turn them into beautiful, alluring centerpieces together. Her keen eye for detail allowed each arrangement to become a small masterpiece.

These moments with my mother sparked my own deep love for botanical gardens. Wherever I go—whether I’m living in a new state or traveling to a different country—I make it a point to visit a botanical garden. These spaces bring me peace and a sense of connectedness. They help me feel more aligned with myself, and the beauty I see around me also makes the beauty within me clearer.

Botanical bouquets is, in essence, my love letter to my mother, to myself, and to anyone who wishes to give and receive unconditional love, transformed into one of nature’s most beautiful expressions of art. This work is a tribute to the legacy she left in me—one that continues to bloom with every arrangement I create.
